End of January Updates

Made a few more updates, and actually cleaned up the sidebar. Turns out being a dad is one heck of an experience, which, duh, but it’s really been eye-opening for my personal and mental health.

Anyway, I’m hoping to start writing more on this, even if no one is reading. I need to start working on projects and actually getting some things done. So, to put it out there in the open, here’s my current list of around-the-house project ideas:

• Lightstrips + diffusers in the office, possibly the stairwell and upper hallway.
  • COB strips are best, but I’ve got non warm-white strips already
  • A good use for the current strips is under the cabinet, but they have poor CRI.
  • Could definitely use current strips for cabinet & closet lighting
    • Bathroom cabinets & walk-in?
• Look into replacing outdoor Zigbee door lights with nicer looking filament-style bulbs.
• Print and mount one of the many 3d-printable storage walls
  • The most popular one

  • This one caught my eye. Looks a lot more modular and easier to print.

• Look into larger appliance upgrades and rebates. Heat pump water heater & induction cooktop especially.
• Take more notes! Integrate notes and calendar appointments into common areas around the house
  • E-paper diplay on the fridge?
  • Replace a front door light switch with an NSpanel?
  • Magic Mirror?
• Get the printer dialed in for PETG
  • I foresee a lot of PETG prints in the future.
